The Whitefish Housing Authority was founded in 1967 with the purpose of providing safe, decent, and affordable housing options for low and moderate income families in the Whitefish community. The organization is committed to addressing the housing needs of all community members, including seniors, persons with disabilities, and those in need of affordable or workforce housing.

Do you make less than 50% of the area median income and need housing assistance? Please stop by the office from 9:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday or reach out to Pam, our Housing Programs Specialist at pmeadows@whitefishhousing.org to get an application for our programs. At this time, we do not have an online application.
WHA's regular board meeting, (agenda packet available here) will take place from 4:30 - 6:00pm at Whitefish City Hall on Wednesday, November 19th, 2025. Click here to attend virtually. For any questions, please contact Riss Getts at director (at) whitefishhousing (dot) org or 406-901-2844.
WHA's board has been diligently looking for a new subsidy solution that will allow us to rehabilitate Mountain View Manor with the least disruption possible to resident. The board selected to pursue a Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) / Section 18 blend because it provides the highest resident protections while also maximizing the subsidy that WHA can receive from the federal government in order to re-invest in Mountain View Manor. Residents will continue to pay no more than 30% of their income towards rent. For more information about the RAD blend process, please see this Resident RAD Fact Sheet (PDF format). There are also multiple physical copies of this document available to check out from the MVM main office.
We will also be holding two resident meetings in the coming weeks to discuss the RAD process more with residents.
