The Whitefish Housing Authority was founded in 1967 with the purpose of providing safe, decent, and affordable housing options for low and moderate income families in the Whitefish community. The organization is committed to addressing the housing needs of all community members, including seniors, persons with disabilities, and those in need of affordable or workforce housing.

Do you make less than 50% of the area median income and need housing assistance? Please stop by the office from 9:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday or reach out to Pam, our Housing Programs Specialist at pmeadows@whitefishhousing.org to get an application for our programs. At this time, we do not have an online application.
WHA's regular board meeting, (agenda packet available here) will take place from 4:30 - 6:00pm at Whitefish City Hall on Wednesday, November 19th, 2025. Click here to attend virtually. For any questions, please contact Riss Getts at director (at) whitefishhousing (dot) org or 406-901-2844.
WHA is working to find the best subsidy solution that will allow us to rehabilitate Mountain View Manor with the least disruption possible to residents. New guidance suggests that shifting our strategy from pursuing a straight Section 18 conversion to a Section 18 / Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) blend may be our best option for Mountain View Manor moving forward. To make sure that board leadership understands the differences between these programs, we are holding a virtual educational session (agenda available here) with our developer partner on November 10, 2025 at 5pm. Click here to attend the meeting via Microsoft Teams.
